GUYANE / Zika: deltamethrin used again

The anti-vector fight is intensifying in Guyana. The health authorities have authorized the resumption of spraying with deltamethrin in order to destroy the breeding sites, reports Guyane 1ère. Still considered reliable, the insecticide was stopped due to its reduced effectiveness. According to the latest epidemiological bulletin from the Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS), 430 clinically suggestive cases of Zika have been estimated in the territory since the start of surveillance.
