Sanofi Pasteur is working with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Resarch (WRAIR) of the American army to co-develop a vaccine against the zika virus, announced this week Sanofi. "We are using our own technology, the one we are using for the new dengue vaccine, but we want to explore several avenues to be able to clinically test a zika vaccine as soon as possible," said David Loew, executive vice president of Sanofi by press release.

In Saint-Martin, the evocative cases are in “slight decrease” and “this tendency remains to be confirmed”, according to the last bulletin of the CIRE Antilles-Guyane. Concerning neurological complications, one case was reported: “transient neurological disorders which led to hospitalization, and which occurred in a person whose infection with the virus has been biologically confirmed.” _EH
