The leader of the opposition Daniel Gibbs was quick to respond by statement to the former president of the Collectivity Alain Richardson concerning his request for the collective resignation of the elected officials of Saint-Martin following the response of the Constitutional Council on the priority issue of constitutionality (QPC) of the Collectivity. “Instead of acting in full responsibility and proposing concrete solutions (…), like a firefighter-arsonist, you want to maintain and rekindle the fire instead of participating in its extinction (…) I neither share your anarchist method, nor your extremist remarks, and even less your call for the collective resignation of local elected representatives and parliamentarians. ” In the context of this QPC affair, Mr. Gibbs indicates that he requested an audience with the Minister of Finance Michel Sapin and special advisers at the Elysee Palace. _EH
