2rd edition of Bart's Bash
With 19 boats registered in four different classes, the 2rd edition of Bart's Bash organized in the lagoon of Simpson Bay was a great success.
This global sailing event is organized to raise precious funds for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, enabling it to facilitate a range of sustainable development projects, using sailing to transform the lives of children and young people. of the whole world.
The Sint-Maarten Yacht Club, Lagoon Location Voilier and the Kidz at the Fondation de la mer contributed to the success of this event. With a presence of 33 sailors involved in the Optimist, laser, Taz, Jeanneau 20 and RS Vision categories, the battle on the water raged!
It was also a great opportunity for beginners to develop their sailing skills with the support of experienced sailors.
In terms of results, Robbie Ferron, Sarah Jane and Jessie Templeton, won in the Jeanneau 20 class. Alec Scarabelli and Johanna Looser finished first in the RS Vision class.
Finally, Berg and Bart Van Vliet won respectively in the Optimist and Laser class. _AF
