For almost two years now, the Cobraced association has been deploying Ideas Boxes, these kit media libraries designed by Bibliothèques Sans Frontières and designer Philip Starck on Saint-Martin. The Ideas Box host educational and fun activities, digital and creative workshops and offer a selection of multilingual books and digital resources.

From reading workshops at the EPHAD Bethany Home to digital comics during the summer holidays, from initiation to French to the Manteau de Saint-Martin or even to musical workshops within their walls, Cobraced has offered activities to nearly 1500 visitors from Quartier d'Orléans, Sandy-Ground, Grand-Case, Colombiers, Concordia, Marigot, etc.

On the occasion of the deployment which takes place every Saturday morning (excluding weather and Covid-19 hazards) on the Seafront from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the association Bibliothèques Sans Frontières, at the origin of this device, officially transferred ownership of the Ideas Box material to the Cobraced association, in the presence of representatives of the Prefecture, the Fondation de France, the President of Cobraced, the coordinator of the programs of Bibliothèques Sans Frontières in Saint-Martin and the public present.

On this occasion, the Cobraced association wishes to thank Bibliothèques Sans Frontières for the support provided throughout the project and the donation of this formidable device which is a definite asset for the associative fabric of the territory and all the beneficiaries.

The collaboration does not stop there, since Bibliothèques Sans Frontières will continue to assist Cobraced until October on the territory, then remotely from the Metropolis. For the sustainability of the project, the Cobraced association is supported by the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, the Prefecture and the FDVA.
