During a ceremony organized on Tuesday, June 12 at the Savane rescue center, eight internal security medals were awarded to firefighters from Saint-Martin for acts of bravery and dedication during the passage of Irma.
Twelve congratulatory letters were also delivered for acts of bravery in a post-Irma crisis.
National honors and awards were presented by the secretary general of the prefecture, Mikaël Dore, and Annick Petrus, the 3rd vice-president of the COM.
