U15 Junior Stars Tournament "EURO ALL READY"
The Junior Stars club organized a U 15 tournament last Saturday under the action "Euro Tous Prêts". Young people under 15 from different clubs in Saint Martin, came to play under the colors of 8 European countries at the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium.
The first words were given by the President of the club, Hervé Dorvil, who thanked the presence of many parents and players. The representative of the Prefect, Emmanuel Effantin, present at this event recalled that this action allows 16 young people from the club and 4 educators to leave for France in June for Euro 2016. This delegation will be pleased to attend the Ukraine / Germany match in Lille. Some selected admitted that they were traveling for the first time in France. Then Mrs. Petchy Patricia, head of the soccer school proceeded to draw lots with the different captains of the countries represented. Clashed for the day in a very fair play spirit, 8 teams composed of 8 players including a girl: France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Greece, Italy, England and Sweden . Belgium, which came out first from its pool, faced Germany, also first from its pool, in the final. The final meeting saw the victory of Germany. This tournament therefore ends with the success of Germany ahead of Belgium and England. Each team fervently defended the colors of the flag it represented. Between joys and sorrows, all the players came out rewarded and happy for this day rich in emotion and conviviality. The leaders and educators of the Junior Stars club thank the participants, the spectators among whom was also Mr. Happy Hervé, technical advisor of the Saint-Martin Football League, parents and players, who came in large numbers to attend this day which gives the tone for the opening of Euro 2016._AF
