A convention to help high school students to pass their driving license

The president Daniel Gibbs and the rector of Academy Mostafa Fourar signed, on Monday, April 1, with the principal of the Lycée professionnel, Mrs. Jeanine Hamlet, and a Auto-Ecole instead, an agreement relating to the financing of the exam driving license for students in the Auto Mechanical Preparation class of the LPO. 

This agreement is funded up to € 40 by the Rectorate, € 000 by the Collectivity in direct funds and € 10 thanks to post Irma donations collected for Saint-Martin by the Fondation de France which chose to support this project. Thus, 000 students will be offered as part of their Terminale class training to take the car license before the end of the school year. This agreement was signed for 30 years and will thus benefit 000 students in the Auto Mechanic class over time, until 20. These students in the technical sector particularly need a driving license to be able to be hired in garages, at from their training for their first years of apprenticeship.  

President Gibbs praised the support of the Rectorate and the Fondation de France for this project in favor of local youth: “You will benefit from this great opportunity, you have to seize your chance and work to pass your exams. I am very attached to this type of project and I would like to thank the rector, Mr. Fourar, as well as the Fondation de France which supports numerous projects in Saint-Martin, ”said the president. If the device proves successful, the rector and the president plan to reiterate this convention and why not extend it to other classes.
