A conference-debate on Cerebral Vascular Accidents (CVA) organized on Wednesday, November 9 at the CCISM

0

Cerebral Vascular Accidents (CVA) are the cause of many disabilities in our Caribbean territories: every day, 2 to 3 people are victims. The ARS Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy therefore wishes to inform about this pathology during a conference followed by a debate which will be held on Wednesday November 9, from 10 am to 12 pm, at the CCISM.

This conference-debate is open to all health professionals in the Northern Islands and, more broadly, to the entire population wishing to learn about stroke. It is carried out on the initiative of Dr Blaise Bartoli and will be led by Doctors Landais and Woga, from the team of the neurovascular unit of the Center Hospitalier Universitaire de la Guadeloupe.

The objective of this conference is to share all the elements that make it possible to identify, as quickly as possible, the signs of stroke, so that treatment is done as soon as possible.

Every minute counts! Stroke is an absolute medical emergency, due to the risk of irreversible damage to the brain.
