A long-awaited case before the courts

0

On Friday, the so-called Grand-Case deckchairs case will be presented to the administrative tribunal, at the courthouse, in Marigot. Eight establishments in Grand-Case are asking the courts for the annulment of the Executive Council's decision of November 17, 2015, which caused much ink to flow. Considering the opinion of the land use planning and town planning commission, the elected members of the executive council have in fact decided that any commercial occupation of the public domain of the beach of Grand-Case - tables, chairs, deckchairs, parasols and stands - is prohibited. No authorization for temporary occupation (AOT) of the public domain for commercial purposes will be issued in this sector. _EH
