For more than a month, investigations by investigators from the PJ Pool of the Marigot Brigade Community have revealed drug trafficking between a Marigot car park and several neighboring houses, the gendarmerie said in a press release.
On March 20, the Community of Marigot Brigades reinforced by the Detached Research Section of Saint-Martin led a judicial police operation with the assistance of the intervention platoon of EGM 13/5 of SATHONAY-CAMP, PSIG of Saint-Martin and the cynophile team of Saint-Barthélemy in order to stop this drug trafficking.
During this operation, five individuals are arrested. The searches carried out led to the discovery of 60 feet of cannabis, around 2 euros and dollars, 700 grams of crack and 20 grams of cocaine as well as an alarm pistol.
The defendants have been released but will all have to answer for their actions before the court in the coming weeks.
