Three gendarmerie vehicles burned down early yesterday morning in a parking lot located rue du President Kennedy in Marigot. According to the first elements of the investigation, opened by the gendarmerie of Saint-Martin, the fire is of criminal origin. The author quickly identified was arrested and placed in police custody by the gendarmerie. He is a homeless man aged 43 and unfavorably known to the gendarmerie services for having burned down an apartment in 2015. He would have a psychiatric history, reports the gendarmerie. The firefighters, who arrived quickly at the scene of the fire, managed to control the flames before they spread to adjacent buildings.
