Tuesday November 3, date of the start of the All Saints' Day school holidays in Saint-Martin, schools, colleges and high schools in the academic region of Guadeloupe will pay homage to Samuel Paty, the history and geography teacher, brutally murdered on Friday October 16. at  Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Department of Yvelines).

The return to school, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, in Saint-Martin will take place at the usual time. Last Tuesday, the government decided to postpone it to 10 a.m., to allow teachers to prepare the tribute to Samuel Paty. But he finally reviewed his copy at the end of last week because of the security context.

The course of the ceremony was thus changed in all schools.

Only the solemn tribute at 11 a.m. is maintained with a minute of silence.

Students will therefore be welcomed at the usual times on Tuesday morning. _AF
