Court: Four months in prison for hitting brother with sword

A 31-year-old man (DC) was presented Wednesday in immediate appearance before the criminal court for acts of violence with a gun on his brother.

The facts happened five days earlier. Friday around 8 am in the courtyard of the building where they live with their mother in Quartier d'Orléans, he strikes a sword with his older brother, JLC. He hurts his left arm. The latter has a 45-day ITT. DC went to the gendarmerie by himself in the afternoon. He was placed in police custody and pre-trial detention. The prosecution requested a sentence of eight months in prison, four of which were suspended. He asked for DC's continued detention and a ban on holding a licensed firearm for five years. After having deliberated on it, the court pronounced a judgment in conformity with the requisitions by adding a test for three years with the obligation to follow care, to fix his residence elsewhere than at his mother's and to work, and a ban on '' contact the victim. After the hearing, DC was transferred to prison in Guadeloupe.
