More and more private jets are returning to Juliana Airport, the establishment said. Between Friday, December 14 and Thursday, January 31, 114 planes requested authorization to park on the platform; another seven are pending.
Today December 26th is the busiest day with 21 private jets to land. In terms of departures, for the moment the busiest day will be December 5 with already 14 scheduled takeoffs.
Sint Maarten Airport is one of the most popular in the Caribbean; many jets land there and their passengers immediately board megayachts to stay in Saint-Barth, among others.
In 2017 the number of movements decreased by 1 due to the passage of Hurricane Irma, in 488, a record number of 2016 movements was recorded.
