On Saturday June 13, the Dutch police services arrested a woman, as part of an ongoing investigation, for participating in drug trafficking. Traffic took place in the freight section of Juliana airport and at the port of Sint Maarten.
The defendant was placed in police custody because of his involvement in the trafficking of a large quantity of narcotic drugs via Juliana airport on May 29, 2020. The police have already intercepted 5,4 kg of drugs.
A 26-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on May 12 by the Sint Maarten police. 467 grams of narcotic drugs were still discovered in the freight section of Juliana airport.
Three days later, the police arrested another individual, 24, suspected of having imported 2 grams of drugs into the territory.
