Tourism: what's new in Saint Martin

The Tourist Office has produced a summary of the region's new features which, in 2014, welcomed 2,8 million visitors.

• Classification of "Guest House" 

After the adoption of a classification benchmark for hotels and tourist residences, another benchmark was created for "Guest Houses".

• A new chef at La Samanna

Originally from the southwest of France, Serge Gouloumès has worked in many countries, including Switzerland and the United States. Today, the chef shows off his cuisine in Saint-Martin.

• The first “all inclusive” hotel 

Last May, the Radisson Marina & Spa hotel gave way to the Riu. With 252 rooms, the establishment now offers an "all inclusive" service.

• The Mercure classified 4 stars

The Mercure Marina & Spa hotel has obtained a 4th star, after numerous works. All of the hotel's rooms have been tastefully renovated.
