TOURISM: 73 travel agents experience Saint-Martin

1

As part of the “Fly in” operation organized by the Saint-Martin Tourist Office, 73 tourism professionals from all over the world discover the destination à la carte.

Gathered last Wednesday at Coco Beach in Orient Bay for the opening night of the second edition of "Fly in", the 73 travel agents discussed among themselves and with the team of the Tourist Office, in the presence of its president, Valérie Damaseau and its director, Aïda Weinum, as well as Bernadette Davis, 2nd vice-president of the Collectivity. Coming from the United States, Canada, Scandinavia, Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), France, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Guadeloupe and Martinique, the agents of travel were able to discover Saint-Martin in a unique concept: the à la carte destination. Depending on their clientele, some have opted for luxury hotels while others have favored the local experience. By testing the activities in the various establishments listed by the Tourist Office, tourism professionals will now be able to pass on the experience to their agents in order to better sell the destination of Saint-Martin and the neighboring islands to their customers. “The idea is to see Saint-Martin with your own eyes,” declared Aïda Weinum during her speech last Wednesday. Representatives of KLM / Air France and Air Antilles were also present at the evening. Last Thursday, a "Meet and Greet" at the Grand Case Beach Club allowed travel agents and tourism professionals in Saint-Martin to get to the heart of the matter regarding the offers on offer.

Friday evening, everyone gathered at the Secrets Resort of Anse Marcel for the closing party of the second edition of “Fly in”. _VX
