Theater / Company: Heads of art is back!

0

Everyone knows the Chapelle Theater at Orient Bay, right? If you know !

This is where the Compagnie les Têtes de l'Art will give 4 performances of its new show. The play is entitled "Unknown at this address" by Katerine Kressman Taylor. We owe this adaptation to Laurence Blanc who also ensures the staging. The two main roles of this play, hailed by critics at the time of its release in 1938, are held by Didier Amblard and Michel Cottin.

The story

“1932. Martin Schulse, a German, and Max Eisenstein, an American Jew, are art dealers in California. They are also united by more than affectionate - fraternal bonds.

The first decides to return to Germany. It is their fictitious correspondence between 1932 and 1934 which constitutes this book, written by an American in 1938, and hailed at the time, in the United States, as a masterpiece. Incisive, short and with a striking ending, this book captures History with accuracy. It is a snapshot, a photograph taken on the spot which describes without complacency, nor frenzied didacticism, an intimate and collective tragedy, that of Nazi Germany. "
