Surf (5th Day of the French Championships in Hossegor): Renan Grainville (SXM), crowned vice-champion of France Juniors!

0

A native of Saint-Martin and member of the "SXM Windy Reef" club, Renan Grainville has awarded himself the title of vice-champion of France on the Hossegor spot, recognized as "The Mecca of Surfing" in Europe!

One thing is certain, Renan Grainville can be legitimately satisfied with his performance at the France Junior championships held last week in Hossegor.

After a white season in 2016 following a serious knee injury, the representative of the "Friendly Island" pushed the defending French champion in his last entrenchments.

If the captain of the France Juniors team, Léo-Paul Etienne, kept his title, the Guadeloupean was very hot, however.

The "fault" to Renan Grainville, author of a wave at 9 pts in the first part of the final. But while "our" Saint-Martin surfer could not find a second wave sufficient to win, the Guadeloupean managed to overtake him by scoring a 7,67 pts entry and, above all, an 8,93 pts in the last moments.

It should be noted that Renan is placed 10th in the European ranking at the end of this season on the WCL Espoirs circuit.

A great sporting success for Renan who takes the opportunity to also send a wink to all his friends in the Northern Islands and Anguilla without forgetting his partners, his coach, Pierre George and his family who have not stopped to support him:
