The committee of experts on infectious diseases of the North Islands considers that the epidemiological indicators testify to the beginning of an epidemic of dengue in Saint-Barthélemy.

Regarding probable and confirmed cases, their increase is "less sudden, but just as regular as that of clinical cases". Since mid-November, 25 cases have been biologically confirmed. Finally, 10 emergency room visits for suspected dengue fever have been recorded since mid-November. The epidemiological situation in Saint-Barthélemy corresponds to phase 3 of the epidemic surveillance, alert and management program (Psage): epidemic confirmed.
