Solidarity: Paramedics voluntarily deliver medicines

0

Since the start of the war launched against COVID-19, paramedics have been exposed to the front line of the patient care chain. They are thus stakeholders in the efforts of caregivers, medical and health institutions.

The prolongation of containment measures and the obligation to respect barrier actions, necessary to control the spread of the virus, however also reinforce the isolation of certain people, unable to go to the pharmacy.

Aware of these difficulties, the paramedics in Guadeloupe make themselves available to pharmacies who wish to, by setting up the porting of medicines at home, for sick or isolated people throughout the confinement period.

Pharmacies will receive a list of volunteer paramedics by municipality or sector, to which they can entrust their deliveries to be made in a secure circuit.

Through this action, it is a question of the paramedics demonstrating their solidarity both vis-à-vis the medical and paramedical sector, to which they are attached, as well as being even closer to the patients and devoted to the general interest.

As a reminder, Guadeloupe, Saint-Barth and Saint-Martin ("Ambulances des Iles du Nord" and "Erick Ambulance") have 43 land medical transport companies spread over the entire territory.
