Last Thursday, the National Sea Rescue Society (SNSM) of Saint-Martin organized a meal at the Fort Louis marina for the benefit of its volunteers.
Station president René-Jean Duret congratulated them for "their selfless dedication and team spirit", in the presence of Prefect Anne Laubies and President of the Collectivity Aline Hanson. Mr. Duret thanked on this occasion the many donors, including the Rotary Club of Saint-Martin Nord and Dr. Ivan Sollogoub, who funded the new semi-rigid boat, in April 2015. During this evening took place also the official handover between Jean-Claude van Rymenant and Gilles Dubroca, as boss of the station, and between Martine Brard and Régine Hée, as treasurer.
