The Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Guadeloupe (OVSG) published its report on regional seismicity for the month of March 2016. The OVSG recorded a total of 253 earthquakes of tectonic origin, of maximum magnitude 6. A single earthquake was felt at Saint-Martin: that of magnitude 6, recorded on the morning of March 19 at 192 km north-north-east of Anse-Bertrand, 9 km deep. Concerning the regional telluric activity, it is stable compared to the previous months, specifies the observatory. As a reminder, the island arch of the Lesser Antilles includes 19 active volcanoes and an active underwater volcano. People who felt a small earthquake are invited to report it on the following site: www.franceseisme.fr.
