The facts occurred on Sunday, December 27 at around 18 p.m. A young woman, a security guard, was attacked with a knife on Front Street, not far from the Courthouse.
Arrived at the scene, the Dutch police took charge of the victim who shows traces of lacerations on the face and several wounds on the upper body. She was immediately taken to Sint Maarten Medical Center in critical, but stable condition.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the alleged assailant is her ex-boyfriend seen not far from the scene of the assault in possession of a knife.
The victim told investigators that her attacker resides partly in France. He is still actively sought to this day by the police. _AF
