SINT MAARTEN: Theo Heyliger responsible for presenting a new government

0

The governor of Sint Maarten asked Theo Heyliger on Friday to form a government. On March 12, Eugene Holiday met with the various party leaders who won the elections, namely United Democrats, National Alliance, United St. Maarten Peoples Party and Sint Maarten Christian Party.

The government that will be put in place will have to focus on rebuilding the territory, be it economic, financial, tourist or infrastructure. It will also have to cooperate with the Netherlands, the World Bank and socioeconomic partners in order to identify needs and priority projects to conduct before the next hurricane season. It will also have to propose solutions for sustainable waste management. (Source: www.soualigapost.com)
