Sint Maarten: Home-jacking at Princess Heights

0

Sint Maarten police are currently investigating a home jacking case. This burglary committed in the presence of the inhabitants occurred at Princess Heights, on the road to Oyster Pond, on the night of Thursday August 23 to Friday August 24, around three in the morning.

Reportedly, three suspects broke into the interior of one of the residence's apartments while the residents were asleep.

The security guard who sighted them informed the property maintainer and a search to locate the suspects was undertaken. When the suspects noticed that they had been discovered, they ran away, leaving behind a bag containing several electronic items. They have not yet been apprehended. They stole a small amount of money and the keys to the vehicle belonging to the occupants of the broken-in apartment.

The bag abandoned by the suspects does not belong to anyone occupying the hotel complex. Investigators assume it came from another burglary. It contains: a cream-colored handbag with light blue, dark blue, orange and yellow horizontal stripes, branded “Merona”, a black DVD player and its remote control, two white Playstation 3s, two Sony wireless controllers , a black Samsung remote, a pair of glasses, seven Blu-ray discs, seven power cables and a power adapter.

Investigators are asking anyone who identifies these items as their own to contact the Sint Maarten police immediately.
