During a recent traffic stop, the Dutch police took a heavy hand by issuing a total of 117 tickets, in a single day, to several drivers.
Most of the vehicles that were fined did not meet technical control requirements, or the drivers were not in possession of their driver's license or vehicle-related documents. Several people were also fined for not wearing seat belts, and motorcycle or scooter riders for not wearing a helmet.
The Sint Maarten police would like to warn, again, motorists that their vehicles must have a valid technical control and have the documents of the car when traveling on public roads. A good ear ... _AF
