Miami Half Marathon and Marathon: “Our” Saint-Martin athletes have taken up the challenge!

0

About thirty runners from Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth lived a great human adventure, but also a sporting one, during their participation in the half-marathon and the Miami marathon.

Ladies First ! Bravo to Patricia Huc and Sophie Berthelot (Dream of Trail) who “swallowed” the 42,195 kilometers respectively in 4:20 and 4:38. Did you say great performance?

Congratulations also to the "Inter Generation" runners engaged in the Half Marathon, as well as to the "Team" IMMUN'AGE "at the start of the 5 km and to the two athletes from Saint-Barth, registered for the Half and the Marathon.

 They were amazed…

20 runners were present on the starting line for the marathon and the half marathon, (nearly 000 for the marathon and 4000 for the half marathon). The departure is at Biscayne Boulevard next to the American Airlines Arena. Departures are in waves from 16 a.m. towards the port of Miami, to pass at daybreak in front of the illuminated cruise ships and moored up to South Beach. From there, the route continues north along the famous Ocean Drive, through the city of Miami Beach, then west along the Venetian Causeway, to return to the mainland and the city of Miami. This is where the half-marathon ends.  The marathon continues south through the financial district of Brickell, to Coconut Grove, then  Rickenbacker toward Key Biscayne, then back through Brickell and downtown Miami to travel 42,195 kilometers (26,219 mi) to the finish line in Bayfront Park. _AF
