600 very dynamic students!

Under the leadership of the Circonscription and the USEP Iles du Nord, eight elementary schools in Saint-Martin (Ecole Aline Hanson, Nina Duverly, Emile Choisy, Hervé Williams, Elie Gibs, Emile Larmonie, Omer Arrondell, Clair St Maximin) come together for an athletic sports meeting as part of the language week and the school sport year.

Indeed, after a colorful athletic weekend, 600 children from 8 to 10 years old were able to participate with great enthusiasm in 4 athletic workshops: jumping far, throwing far, speed race and relay race.

Some classes presented posters in English as part of the 1st edition of the Language Week.

For the CM1 level, the Emile Larmonie and Hervé Williams schools qualified for the 9th international athletic meeting of the schools with classes from Anguille, Sint-Maarten, and Saint-Barthélemy.

This meeting is organized on May 19 at the Albéric Richards stadium by the EPS pedagogical advisor, Louis Fleming with the partnership of USEP Iles du Nord.

The President of the USEP Iles du Nord, Jean-Luc Elice, notably underlined the sporting dynamism of all the schools on the island and its very many Usepian students.

It is also an opportunity to thank the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, which is very involved in school sports, school directors and teachers of voluntary schools, without whom nothing would be possible. _AF
