As part of its 30th anniversary, Semsamar announced at a press conference a series of events which will largely take place in June. The first action, in favor of young people, takes place this week with the project “S'em ta route”.

This new Semsamar project will allow fifteen young unemployed people to learn until Friday the trades of maintenance and small rental repair in the residences of the Sem. "We were surprised by this mobilization, by the momentum of young people between 18 and 28 years old who invested in this action", underlines the director of Semsamar Marie-Paule Bélénus-Romana, adding that this action is a first on the territory. This initiative is part of a "desire to ensure, within its residences, a quality service to its tenants (...) while contributing to the professional and social integration of young people". The director adds that "they may be our future plumbers and electricians tomorrow". An emergency response unit for tenants could also be created. "It is my dearest wish to create jobs," she concludes. At the end of this operation, an assessment will be made and "a two to three month business immersion scheme will be organized for the benefit of young people who have demonstrated the necessary skills and motivation".
