Sectorization of primary schools: what will change in September 1

0

The elected members of the executive council adopted last month new school perimeters of nursery and elementary schools applicable from the start of the 2021 school year. Overall, the sectorization remains the same as that implemented in 2018 after the reorganization of schools post Irma, two changes have been made, one at the nursery school level and one at the primary level.

These changes only affect new registrations. Children already in school have the possibility of staying in their current schools or integrating their new sector schools, specify the elected officials; any request for exemption will be processed by the committee set up for this purpose.

The perimeters have been modified for the Ghislaine Rogers and Eliane Clarke schools. From next September, children domiciled in Cul de Sac, Anse Marcel, Mont Vernon 2 and 3 will no longer be educated at the Eliane Clarke school but at the Ghislaine Rogers school.

Children domiciled in Orient Bay will be educated only in Omer Arrondell and no longer also in Clair Saint-Maximim as is the case today.
