We hope that this call will enable our people to overcome their fears, disinformation, fake news, and the widely spread scientific untruths.

Indeed, the number of infected patients in our territories is experiencing a very worrying increase in the wake of Martinique, where the incidence rate of infection exceeded the bar of 1 case per 100 inhabitants at the end of July, i.e. 5 times more than the national average; our populations have a major risk of developing severe forms of COVID-19 due to the high prevalence of overweight / obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and also the existence of a large proportion of people over the age of 60; the resuscitation services are already saturated: air medical transfers to Paris of COVID-19 patients with medical care and artificial ventilation began on Saturday, July 31 in order to relieve the intensive care unit in Martinique.
