Risk of salmonella contamination of eggs

0

Health officials in Sint Maarten have ordered the destruction of eggs that may be contaminated with salmonella, the government said. The eggs in question were distributed and sold in various supermarkets in the Dutch part. They all came from the second largest farm in the United States, the Rose Acre Farm.

Consumers who have purchased eggs from the United States can identify eggs likely to be contaminated and therefore recalled by the authorities by looking at the information written on the carton and the eggs: products including the inscription P-1065 are affected (factory number) and a three-digit number between 011 and 102, the latter number indicating the day of production.
