Make Friar's Bay attractive, calm and clean!

0

Friar's Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in Saint Martin. It is also a residential and family area shared between owners, residents and tenants. This district benefits from a specific regulation as a residential district, but the Collectivity does nothing to respect this planning regulation:

- The access road is broken up and regularly blocked on weekends by individuals who organize wild and commercial concerts on the beach

- Before the beach on the right, there is an open-air quarry prohibited in a residential area, with its lot of machine tools and stone mounds; Aggressive stray dogs abound there and the direct neighbors report major noise nuisances, but especially visual

- Beachside bins are always overflowing, and syringes are regularly found on the ground following Sunday concerts

- People settle down on the beach every weekend under the pretext of West Indian folklore, but there is nothing traditional about bringing a noisy generator and plugging in 2-meter-high speakers while disturbing everyone. neighborhood, even if it means scaring the inhabitants away in order to find calm.

- These people leave the beach in such a state of filth that the Community is obliged to bring a roadmender there on Monday morning, at our expense!

Hello welcome! Where is the eco-tourism so desired by our President Gibbs?

In a residential and tourist area, no nuisance can be accepted, whether in terms of dust or fumes (quarry), or in terms of noise (quarry + beach music), or dirt on and around the beach.

Help us sign this petition and participate in this collective; we will forward your comments to the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, the Prefecture and the Gendarmerie. Thank you !
