Reconstruction / Daniel Gibbs received at the Elysée Palace by Emmanuel Macron!

The President of the Community, Daniel Gibbs was received at the Elysée, the day before yesterday, to take stock of the situation with the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, in the presence of the Minister for Overseas, Annick Girardin.

Daniel Gibbs praised the significant advances obtained during this meeting with the President of the Republic: "On the requests made during his visit to Saint-Martin, the President of the Republic kept his commitments, I am satisfied with the point that we did together this Tuesday January 30 ".

Among the announcements made, President Macron undertook to intervene with insurers so that the Saint-Martin files awaiting reimbursement were settled on March 1, 2018. This pressure push necessary for the economic recovery of the territory was highly anticipated by President Gibbs, who had requested this meeting with the Head of State.

President Macron has also indicated that Saint Martin could benefit from 46 million euros under the Solidarity Fund (FSUE), a line of credit that will be directly allocated to our territory.

The Head of State also announced the move to Saint-Martin at the end of February-beginning of March, of an inter-ministerial delegation led by the Minister for Overseas. This delegation, made up of several ministers, will take stock of the situation and reaffirm the commitments of the President of the Republic.

"I am satisfied with the answers that have been given to me, in particular on the multi-year investment and catch-up plan (PPIR) which we are in the process of finalizing, on which we expect a lot in terms of State aid" , specifies the President of the community. This Plan will be presented to the next interdepartmental meeting on reconstruction (RIM) on March 12.

"We are out of the emergency, but we are making every effort to rebuild Saint Martin after Irma," said the President of the Republic after this working session.

Hello; No organization to accommodate workers who come from metropolitan France (I'm talking about my case), I had selected Ent while I was in France, these Ent promise mountains and wonders and especially amazing salaries (I had an offer at 4500 € Net !!!) these salaries are like vacuum cleaners that attract good workers like the puppets who pollute the building professions. Some unscrupulous and dishonest head of Ent take advantage of this to throw the workers who come to their door like kleenex! I would have seen a sort of “hiring place” where newcomers wishing to work in the area would be welcomed and directed to serious Ent (there are some but we have to sort it out which takes time, in in the meantime, we are at the hotel at 80 € / Days!), with a follow-up of their activity over a few weeks. A simple bulletin board with addresses of owners wishing to rent their property or guest rooms. But there no, nothing at all ... Get out of the way! ! ! ! Thank you Saint Martin for your warm welcome. Signed an elder

Social cohesion and aid to the most deprived?
From IRMA and MARIA, the Prefecture has distributed a card to the most "destitute" to buy from traders. This card is a supplement which allows the assisted to have a very nice sum of money from our dear taxpayers.
From the 5th of each month these people, all of foreign origin, line up at the post office in Marigot to collect the monthly jackpot.
Once withdrawing the money from French taxpayers, they go to Global Transfert in the rue du Général de Gaulle…. And Hop, the money goes to Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Dominica, ect… ..
All these people have 10-year residence permits, do not work and live on French soil, legally pillaging money from France.
    Stop the looting of France!
Meanwhile, the French suffer and have nothing!
CAF money must be used to buy food and educate their children.
All these people who plunder France all have one or more villas in their countries, paid with French taxpayers' money.
What are we doing to stop this major problem of social cohesion?
This money must be used for the reconstruction of Saint-Martin and not for the development of their countries. The French pay their taxes for the well-being of their families and their children and this should be a national priority ......
