As part of the inauguration of the multi-activity room and during the visit to the promenades of Quartier d'Orléans with officials including the prefect Vincent Berton and the president of the COM, Louis Mussington, Semsamar, which will celebrate its 40 years of existence in 2025, unveiled the bus stop installed in the heart of the district.
Not initially part of the project, this construction was added later in the process in order to serve the tenants and residents of Quartier d'Orléans, central point and terminus of the bus station. The Semsamar team is working to ensure that the latter is also used by buses from the Dutch side. Through the rehabilitation of the 72 ground floors of the residences which are now allocated to local services and associations (100% reservation in Les Hirondelles, 70% in Les Palmeraies), Semsamar intends to revitalize neighborhood life with a maximum of services, some of which are already in place such as Maison France Services, the Post Office, the gendarmerie and several local associations. On the list of upcoming services in the heart of Quartier d'Orléans include, among others, a crèche, the territorial police with 10 agents next May, a home for the elderly, a solidarity laundromat on April 8 which will operate in the form of vouchers ( 6€ offered for 30€ vouchers, 15€ offered for 60€ vouchers), the Semsamar call center, or the CCISM business incubator. At the end of the visit to the walks and installations detailed in our previous edition, the officials and guests met at the multipurpose multi-sport hall with a 685m2 wifi spot intended, primarily, for young people from the neighborhood's residences. Equipped with photovoltaic panels and two 6500 liter tanks, the multi-activity room, which will be managed according to a schedule established between Semsamar and local associations, was built for a total amount of €1.018.715,96 (European Funds: €637.477,03). Meeting the expectations of young people, this place is dedicated to meetings, sport and culture, in order to promote the development of young people to become one of the pillars of community life in Quartier d'Orléans. _VX
