“Innovation in the tourism sector”, here is the theme chosen for the 2nd edition of Saint-Barth Smart Island organized by the CEM (Economic Chamber of Trades) from February 15 to 18, 2017!

To this end, Dauphin Telecom, sponsor of the 1st day of the event, will involve Chef Damien, co-founder of the 750g.com site, who will host various show cooking: at the restaurant of the hotel Barthélemy with chef William Girard and at the Le Guanahani restaurant with chef Nicolas de Marchi. These “shows” will be broadcast on his blog.

Who is Chef Damien?

"Chef Damien" of his real name: Damien Duquesne is a French chef, teacher, blogger and Youtuber who has published many books on the world of cooking. He also collaborates on the 750 gram site by writing recipes and posting more than 2 videos on Youtube. In 000 he opened a 2015g restaurant at the table in Paris. He also founded the food blog fair in Soissons and Paris

Why Dauphin Telecom invites Chef Damien?

The experience of Chef Damien shows how the exploitation of the internet can be an essential vector in the development of an activity and participates in the dissemination of know-how on a national and international scale. It is an example of success that shows our entrepreneurs in the northern islands the possibilities available to them. The digitalization of our companies is today an essential element for the export of our know-how and allows to increase the notoriety of our companies faster and further.

Chef Damien in Saint Martin:

Dauphin Telecom takes advantage of Chef Damien's visit to our islands to organize 2 “Show cooking” events in Saint Martin: Friday, February 17 from 9 to 11 am in La Samanna (hotel partner of this operation) with star chef Serge Couloumes then the Saturday 18 February at the La Playa restaurant where the show will be organized with the local chef Anthony Lebrec.

All the chefs of the island are, of course, invited to share this moment with Damien Duquesne!

Young high school students from the Bac pro cuisine section accompanied by their teacher Pierre Yves Martin will also be invited to this latest show.

The images will then be broadcast on the 750gr Youtube channel (followed by nearly 476 internet users). It is a great chance for our island which will then be put in the spotlight for a recipe!
