Prison closed for the 4 people who had stolen a homeless person

Five people had appeared last May before the criminal court of Saint-Martin for having diverted more than 200 euros from the bank account of an homeless person for their benefit. The defendants were a teller, a security guard, a friend of the security guard, the ex-girlfriend of the security guard. The Saint-Martin court delivered its deliberations this morning.

The counter received a sentence of three years in prison, including 18 months suspended probation during a period of three years including the obligation to compensate the victim (La Banque Postale) and a ban on exercising activity related to the offense.

The security officer received the heaviest sentence, four years in prison, one of which was suspended, with probation for three years, including the obligation to compensate the victim and the ban on exercising job as a security guard for five years. A deposit warrant was also issued.

The security guard's friend and ex-partner were each sentenced to 18 months in prison, 12 of which were suspended with probation for three years, including the obligation to reimburse the victim. The friend's bank account and life insurance were confiscated by the justice system as well as his property up to 9 euros
