Presentation of calls for projects to associations

0

On Tuesday, February 14, the services of the State and the Community invited the associations of the territory to attend a detailed presentation of the calls for projects in order to inform them of the existing systems and the methods of access.

Following a webinar organized by the Collectivity on September 9, 2022, the aim of which was to help associations in their grant application process, the services concerned bringing together the State and the COM decided to meet the representatives of the associative fabric with this desire to present to them in detail all the proposed calls for projects. The speakers followed one another in front of the packed room to present each call for projects available in the field of City Policy and common law, subsidies from the Community, the Regional Health Agency (ARS), the Management Economy, Employment, Labor and Solidarity (DEETS), the Department of Cultural Affairs (DAC) and the Regional Academic Delegation for Youth, Commitment and Sports (DRAJES). Obtaining a grant can sometimes be complex given the administrative burden but especially the lack of knowledge of the catalog available. This last point was particularly highlighted by the prefect Vincent Berton, concerned that the Saint-Martin associative sector could be fully aware of the existing systems to enable them to develop their activity: "there is no private hunting ground, no 'feel free to be ambitious'. Very involved during the meeting, the politician did not fail to intervene on several occasions to answer questions from the public. Each speaker underlined the importance of providing an innovative project by calling on the associations to be creative. The need to submit a duly completed file was also presented, the latter representing the first contact between the institution and the association. Dominique Démocrite Louisy, 3rd vice-president of the Collectivité, insisted on job creation and social cohesion by favoring actions in all districts. As for Harry Christophe, vice-rector, he emphasized the fact of “supporting the ambition of families”. Regarding the presentation itself, the various calls for projects concern youth, addictions, road safety, integration, solidarity, culture and sport. Some observations were raised during the presentation: the requests for civic services are not sufficiently made by the associations, just like the projects for the integration of young people from Sandy Ground, which benefits from the Cité Éducative label and the budget of one million euros. euros each year. _VX
