PPRN: "The houses built by the St-Martinois have not been destroyed"

During public meetings, residents insisted on the solidity of their houses. "The houses that the Saint-Martinois built were not destroyed, unlike the buildings that the metropolitan people built," said a resident of the Quartier d'Orléans. And the prefect replied: "if you look at Grand Case, there are still some houses which have been badly damaged".

Generally, the population expressed their regret at not having been consulted in the revision of the PPRN, that is to say in a document which concerns them. "These are our lives you are talking about," said one woman. She would have liked to bring her experience and her knowledge on the territory. "Knowledge is not only reflected in diplomas," commented a Saint-Martinois.
