Reconstruction: 293 DPI and 67% granted

In order to facilitate reconstruction, the community has adapted town planning procedures to the post-Irma context. DPI is a simplified procedure decided in committee and then validated by the executive council.

As of August 31, 293 requests have been filed collectively by individuals, hotels and condominiums. 67% received a favorable opinion and 27% were declared inadmissible. For 7 files, the executive council issued a stay of proceedings and 3 files were tacitly rejected.

The stay of proceedings has been declared because the building is in a risk zone with a cyclonic hazard of strong PPRN ”(Sandy Ground and Cul de Sac) or because it is reconstruction work in a risk zone (Sandy Ground, Grand Case , Orleans district).

In most cases where inadmissibility has been decided, it is because a building permit was required.

17 other files were filed in October and were incomplete.
