ELECTIONS: To vote in 2019, I register on the electoral list before March 31!

There are only a few days left to register on the electoral lists in order to be able to vote in 2019. Registration formalities must be completed by March 31, 2019 at the latest.

In 2019, the French will be called to the polls to elect their MEPs. The European Elections will be held on Sunday May 26, 2019 in mainland France and on Saturday May 25 in Saint-Martin.  

What is the procedure for registering on the electoral lists?

Since the 1er January 2019, voters can register closest to the poll. To vote in the next European elections on May 26, 2019, voters will be able to register until March 31, 2019. 

To register, it is now possible to submit your request online, on the websites www.demarches.interieur.gouv.fr or on the website www.service-public.fr whatever your place of residence. It is also possible to check his personal situation on the site www.service-public.fr (registration section - code 978 city Saint-Martin). The deposit at the counter of the Community or the transmission of registration requests to the Community by mail remain possible. 

The Elections Office of the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, located in the annex of the Collectivity, rue de Hollande (behind the bus station), welcomes you from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 15 p.m. To register, you must have: 

- A valid identity document (or one expired for less than 12 months): identity card or passport.

- Proof of address: water, electricity, telephone bills, rent receipt, pay slip, administrative transfer order, tax notice. 

An permanence will be exceptionally open on Saturday March 30 from 10h to 12h to welcome late registrations.  

Young people aged 18 who have completed their military census at 16 are automatically entered on the electoral list on the advice of the INSEE. The others, who will be celebrating their 18th birthday until the eve of the elections on May 26, 2019, must approach the election office with their identity document to register (Law No. 97-1027 of November 10, 1997).
