Meeting in plenary last Friday, the elected officials of the territorial council adopted the 2020 budget.
For 2020, the operating section is down 18% to € 155,92 million; this represents 34,5 million fewer subscribers in this section compared to 2019. In operating expenses, provisions are the most declining (9,7 million compared to 21 million last year) as well as the amount paid in the investment section. The latter is 11,69 million while the previous year it was 43,4 million. Without taking into account the transfer to the investment section, operating expenses amounted to 144,23 million, only 2,8 million less than in 2019.
The investment section amounted to 2020 million euros in 64,6, 100 million less than the previous year. This is mainly due to the equipment program which is 33,7 million euros whereas in 2019, it was more than 109 million due to the post Irma reconstruction sites.
In its entirety, the original 2020 budget was adopted with 19 votes for, 1 against and 3 abstentions. (soualigapost.com)
