In mid-2016, as part of the deployment of its optical fiber, Dauphin Telecom needed to complete its technical teams. In search of a fiber technician, the company contacted Pôle Emploi in May.
The entire Agency team mobilized to carry out a targeted search for candidates. Two advisers were then specially assigned to the preselection of candidates; Rosalie WADE dedicated business advisor and Johny DISHMEY dedicated advisor job seeker. After several candidates proposed which did not correspond exactly to their needs, Eve Riboud (General Manager) and Frédérique BJEDIC (IP Technical Director) receive Mickael BOULATE's CV. He has Telecom copper experience, but training is necessary to acquire knowledge of fiber optic networks. Dauphin Telecom decides to trust Mickael and undertakes to hire him if he follows training. It then becomes necessary to carry out a search for training in order to concretize the hiring and ensure the financing of the latter. Pôle Emploi commits to this system and then draws up its financing file so that it can prepare for the diploma of "installation technician for copper and optical fiber THD networks cabling". His request was accepted on October 21, 2016 and Mickael then left for training in the AFEIR center, which is the only one in France to provide this specialty. After a little more than a month, Mickael finishes his training and returns to Saint Martin, diploma in hand, at the end of December 2016. This system is part of the service offer of Pôle Emploi, "support towards employment", in setting up actions to adapt to the position, training prior to hiring and professionalization of job seekers. Thanks to these actions, Mickael BOULATE has been working since January 2 at Dauphin Telecom as a fiber optic technician. A fine example of an effective partnership between Pôle Emploi and a local company, which has enabled the acquisition of skills and local recruitment.
