Beaches: cleaning at Mullet Bay and Galisbay

0

The Sint Maarten Nature Foundation recently organized a cleanup on Mullet Bay beach with students from Milton Peters College. On this occasion, twenty young people worked "intensely" filling many bags of waste, according to the foundation. This action made them aware of the harmful effects of litter on marine life. Partly French, it is the pupils of the CM2 class of the Jean Rostand school who recently rolled up their sleeves on the beach of Galisbay and its surroundings. Same observation as in Sint Maarten: a mountain of waste of all kinds awaited them. It was during their weekly swimming lessons that they discovered this sad spectacle, tarnishing the image of our island.
