Few cases of dengue and chikungunya

The latest epidemiological bulletin concerning arboviruses from the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Guadeloupe / Northern Islands shows that “the surveillance indicators for dengue and chikungunya have remained at low levels in recent weeks” in Saint-Martin. In detail, 40 consultations were recorded, from October 17 to December 11, 2016, with a general practitioner for signs suggestive of dengue. Regarding chikungunya, over the same period, only one evocative case was recorded. In Saint-Barthélemy, no case has been reported since mid-August for these two arboviruses. The epidemiological situation for the Northern Islands corresponds to phase 1 of the epidemic surveillance, alert and management program (Psage)._EH
