The community of Saint-Martin, represented by its President, Daniel Gibbs and its 3rd vice-president, Annick Pétrus and the company EDF Archipel Guadeloupe, represented by its director, Sylvain Vidal, signed a partnership agreement, Friday October 20, 2017, with the common goal of fighting fuel poverty in the region, after Hurricane IRMA.
This unprecedented natural disaster exposed part of our population to a high risk of precariousness, so that the community and EDF are committed to working hand in hand to help customers in fuel poverty and promote the control of energy demand. Thus, by this agreement, personalized support (information, explanation of the contract and invoices, monitoring of files), as well as technical, social and financial assistance, will be offered by EDF with the support of the community which will identify the customers. in a precarious situation to report them to their partner.
This agreement was signed for a period of two years; EDF donated the sum of € 30 to act as a solidarity partnership for the benefit of Saint Martin residents in fuel poverty.
