About 300 people came last Saturday to the Halle des Sports at the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium to meet the various sports associations who came to present their annual program of activities.
An unmissable back-to-school event, the Sports Open Day organized by the Collectivity of Saint-Martin enabled the youngest to choose the sporting discipline they will practice throughout the season, while parents had the opportunity to meet the leaders of the various sports clubs and take all the practical information necessary for the registration of their protege.
And that was the purpose of this event placed under the sign of the exchange of information: to connect the general public and associations, so that children can benefit from a sporting activity during the school year. An objective that is all the more important as it affects public health and the development of Saint-Martin youth.
Many clubs, loyal to the position for years, were still present this year. We think in particular of Intergeneration Runners, the football clubs of FC Marigot and Junior Stars, the Archers of Saint-Martin, ABC Intersports (Boxing), the Sports Association of Marigot and the VCSG (Cycling), Dream of Trail SXM, Phoenicks (Basketball), Swimming, Softball, Tennis, Volleyball clubs and many other sports associations that will recognize each other.
