NOAA: assessment of the hurricane season

On the Atlantic side, the cyclonic period 2015 was relatively calm. Unlike the Pacific region which suffered the El Niño weather effects, according to the American Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA).

Eleven storms were recorded, four of which turned into a hurricane between June and November in the Atlantic region. Two hurricanes were even considerable with winds exceeding 175 km / h. This balance sheet is slightly lower than the average recorded in the Atlantic, according to NOAA. In contrast, a completely different scenario in the Pacific with 18 storms, 13 of which have become hurricanes. Among the records broken this season, nine force majeure hurricanes were recorded in the region, a first since the statistics began in 1971, according to the American agency.
