On the Atlantic side, the cyclonic period 2015 was relatively calm. Unlike the Pacific region which suffered the El Niño weather effects, according to the American Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA).
Eleven storms were recorded, four of which turned into a hurricane between June and November in the Atlantic region. Two hurricanes were even considerable with winds exceeding 175 km / h.
